During the spring semester of my senior year I conducted an independent study of "Advanced Studies in Alternative Photography" in which I explored multiple processes including Polaroid, cyanotype, and pinhole photography. The work below represents the culmination of my experiments with pinhole cameras through negative and positive papers. Part of what made this work engaging was the ways in which I had to think about photography, especially for the images that took anywhere from 15 seconds to several hours, some were even left out overnight. It was a good way for me to reach back to older forms of photography and better understand all the work that can go into creating a single image.
